RIP our neighborhood mom and friend
First our deepest condolences to the family.
Ruth was a beautiful vibrant woman and did and loved everything that was so beautifully described in her farewell.
My mom and Ruth decided one summer that ALL the kids in the neighborhood had to pick dandelions because they were going to try and make some wine. Well we did but the amount of sugar they decided to guess on just didn’t work.
We didn’t get to try it due to us being minors but they tried and yes it was not the taste they thought it should be lol.
On the upside not one neighbour had a dandelion problem.
Ruth would run in our front door see mom and dad and give my dad a piece of music. It was play this and I’ll sing and they did.
Mom and Ruth on a Monday made bread for the whole neighborhood we delivered.
The best was a bet between mom, Ruth and Albert. They said they could get Smokey in the car and push it to our garage. Albert insisted that Smokey would not betray him lol. Just a small problem, Smokey also loved Ruth.
So later that night they set their plan in action.
The next morning Albert was looking for his car and yes it was in our garage with Smokey right there.
My parents and yours taught us to love and be kind. Concentrate on what you have and forget the other things.
They taught us that living then filled and fueled our imaginations and desire to always appreciate everything.
Outside was the best medicine and we loved it.
Ruth there’s so many more memories I could share but I would like to think you always silently knew each and every one.
You’ll be tucked in our hearts forever.
I’m sure the birds will be singing and dancing this weekend. Say hi to my mom and dad, Stan and Hildred.
They are so missed as you are!
