Obituary of Clarence Daniel Yackel
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley; daughter Karen (Glenn); son Kenneth (Noelle); grandchildren Krystn (Amanuel), Bryanne (Rene), Bryce (Briana), Christian and Danielle; and great grandchildren Jaylen, Cobayne and Zaylah.
Clarence started his career in the trucking industry, taking on various roles before becoming the general manager at Kingsway Transports, where he spent most of his professional life. His journey led him to make lifelong friendships and significant contributions as an executive director and a former president of the Manitoba Trucking Association. He was also a dedicated volunteer for many local organizations, notably active at the Canadian German Society where he managed weekly BINGOs.
Clarence's greatest joy in life was caring for his family, driven by an intense desire to ensure they could partake in every life experience he could possibly provide for them. He loved spending his free time outdoors fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, camping throughout numerous states and provinces and he never failed to jump on an opportunity to get together with his friends in Winnipeg or Lac Lu to play cards. Clarence was also an avid 10 pin bowler in numerous leagues throughout the city.
Clarence will always be remembered for his quick wit and natural storytelling ability, always eager to share his tales at any given opportunity. In life, Clarence was not just a presence but a pillar of wisdom and guidance for all who knew him. His door was always open, and his willingness to listen and offer advice made him a sought-after mentor. Whether navigating personal dilemmas or professional challenges, Clarence's insights were as invaluable as they were heartfelt. His legacy of compassion and wisdom will continue to resonate deeply within all those whose lives he touched. Clarence leaves behind a profound legacy of kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support that will be forever cherished and deeply missed.
Clarence will be forever and deeply missed.
A Celebration of Clarence's life will be held at a later date.
