We extend our condolences and sympathy for the whole family! We will truly miss Ron's great talks and laughs! Even though we didn't spend much of this life together, Ron n Linda, truly impacted our hearts and soul. I am very glad I stop to look up and see that smile Ron gives to those who were his friends. He offered a parking space and yet a friendship grew from there! And many laughs....Silvia and I will always cherish the moments spent with Ron...we will truly miss him and will continue to look out for his home in PS....John 3:16...thank you 'A'...!

This truly breaks my heart. “Papa Ronnie” was such a wonderful person and great friend. I met Ron and Linda when I was delivering their mail at their seasonal home in the desert and we quickly became good friends and I lovingly call them my Canadian parents. They were always inviting me over to have a drink on the patio, even if I was on the clock at work. I regret that I never made it up to Winnipeg to get a ride in his hot rod with him, but I will remain friends with Linda forever. Sending so much love and healing strength to the family.

Rick and I have such fond memories of you both. Ron was a kind, caring, fun, strong personality, a “live wire” and always up for an adventure! We cherish the many lazy days laying around the pool in Bermuda Dunes and we especially loved to rib him about his beat up straw hat! Lots of good conversation and of course the occasional drink right out of his cooler! He was always up for anything and he genuinely enjoyed people. You two were so in sync, hiking all over the Coachella Valley, or just going for a walk or heading to the College of the Desert. His family was everything to him and he so loved his Linda and grandkids. Our deepest sympathy.

We referred to Ron as a "Doer"; he was always planning fun activities in the Coachella Valley, hiking, golfing, trips to various desert sites or car shows. Ron enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He especially loved his "Linda Time"; whether it was watching the Jets and Bombers, kicking up their heals to his favourite 50's & 60's songs or enjoying the "occasional" cocktail, it was always a happy time.
We will always remember our times with Ron & Linda in Palm Springs and their visit with. us in the Maritimes.
Ron was a very special person and will be missed.

I met Ron and Linda Mauer on my flight back to my California Desert secondary home December 31, 2019. We shared the 3 seats on Calgary Westjet flying back to Palm Desert. Since that day we remained friends while in 'The Desert' but in touch yearly. My son & daughter-in-law also joined in our little clutch. We were terribly saddend to hear the news no one ever wants hear, regarding friends. We live in BC, so far away. Please, those of you, friends and family near to Linda and family, hug them tight for us. Much Love, Gail Wensley, Vancouver Island.
