Marguerite Arpin

Obituary of Marguerite Marie Jacqueline Arpin

It is with great sadness that we announce Mom’s passing on September 5, 2024 at Youville in Ste. Anne, Manitoba.

Born in St. Pierre Jolys, second child of Beatrice and Leopold Turenne, she helped raise a family of eleven children, which comprised of six brothers and four sisters. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, and spending time with her family. She worked hard in the garden, making wonderful meals for her family, and taking care of her siblings and her ten precious children. She was a doer and a giver. She lived her long life with dignity and courage. We all loved her so and appreciated her pure honesty and sense of humor.

When she passed away at the Villa, she was surrounded by family and loving staff for whom we are forever grateful.

Mom felt like she was living in a nice hotel with meals, snacks, and getting her bed turned over every night by such caring staff. We are forever grateful for their compassion and professionalism.

Mom was predeceased by her husband Georges; children Noel, Guy, Richard and Luc; brothers Maurice, Paul, Roland, Fernand, Yves and Raymond; and sisters Pauline and Alice.

She is survived by sons Roger (Terry), Marcel, and Guy; daughters Madeleine (Rene), Veronique (Michel), and Alice (Bob); sisters Yvette and Leonne; and sister-in-law Marie.

There are 12 grandchildren who loved her dearly and 15 great-grandchildren that will remember their cool grandmother who was very interested in their lives.

A funeral mass will be held at Sainte Anne Roman Catholic Church, 162 Central Ave, Ste Anne, Manitoba on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Father Kevin N. Lereh m.ss.cc. officiating.

A private family interment will take place at St. Pierre Cemetery, immediately after the service. No reception will be held.
