Obituary of Leona Elizabeth Bochanesky

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Leona Elizabeth Bochanesky on August 31, 2024 at the age of 75 years after her courageous battle with cancer.

Liz was predeceased by her parents Steve and Polly Bochanetsky; husband Stan Troniak.

Left to cherish Mom’s memory are her children Gail (Wayne) Wilson, Elsie; grandchildren Robert (Chelsea), Steven (Myckhalia), Arin Junior/AJ; great-grandchildren Grayson, Wade, Aalaynah; Sister Lillian Yankowski, Niece Dawn, Nephew Michael (Jody) and many great nephews and nieces.

Liz was a stay-at-home mom.  She would teach us her favorite hobbies, which included, crocheting, knitting, designing Ukrainian easter eggs and drawing.  Her door was always open to all the neighborhood children and was always there to listen, give advise or help those in need. 

She had a special place in her heart for animals and had many pets over the years which included, cats, dogs, fish, a hedgehog, a rabbit and a turtle.

Cremation has taken place.  Respecting mom’s request no service will be held.

Donations can be made in mom’s memory to the cancer society, Human Society or any non-profit animal shelter.
