Obituary of Pamela Aileen Hirschfeld
MAY 9, 1954 – OCTOBER 22, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that I announce the passing of the love of my life and best friend Pamela Aileen Hirschfeld (Pam). She passed away Tuesday Oct 22, 2024, in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by family.
Pam was 70 years old, born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario to parents Robert and Constance James. She was predeceased by her brother Robert James, and has five remaining siblings, Carroll, Lucille, Constance, Douglas and Beverly.
Pam met her devoted husband Earl in 1975 while she was working as Bucker (in the lab) at a mine near Ear Falls. Earl knew she was the one when she invited him to attend her younger sister’s wedding. They married November 13,1976, in front of family and friends at Dalston United church.
Pam and Earl started their family in South Bay, a small mining community about 50 miles north of Ear Falls, Ontario. Here they had their two oldest daughters Jennifer and Roberta.
In 1981 they moved out to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where they had the remainder of their children. Two sons, Jody and Shawn, and their last daughter Mary.
In 1987 they moved to the family farm near Barrie, Ontario and spent several years helping Earl’s dad (Frank) with the farm. In 1993 they moved to Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba and then in 1995 eventually settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Pam loved to travel. Pam and Earl went on many trips to places like Collingwood, Ontario, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Orlando, Myrtle Beach, Branson, Panama City, Grand Bahamas, Mexico, Lake Geneva and many more. They enjoyed the NASCAR circuit attending many races at different tracks around the US including Talladega, Daytona, Martinsville, Sonoma, Las Vegas. Her favourite driver was Matt Kenseth.
Recently they travelled to Elkhorn Resort Manitoba to attend the wedding of their grandson Landon to his bride Jessica. She was very proud.
Pam thrived in chaos and was always happiest when the grandkids were running though her house, with a baby in her arms and her fur babies laying by her feet.
There will be a Celebration of life held for Pam from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the Cooks Creek Columbus Centre, 30026 Zora Road (just South of the Immaculate Conception Church) Everyone is welcome to come pay their last respects.
In Lieu of flower a donation can be made to Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg Manitoba.
Forever in out Hearts.
Rest in Peace Pam
(Loving Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma).
