Obituary of George Franklin Larkin

George Frederick Larkin, 84 of Winnipeg MB passed away on March 18, 2020. George was born on Dec 6, 1935 to Frederick & Katie Larkin in Bowsman Manitoba. He attended Lady Hubble School up to Grade 8. He moved to Powell River in 1956 and this is where he met his wife Myrna Gloria Dyck and they married on July 21, 1962 in Powell River BC. They moved back to Bowsman MB in 1979 where they farmed and raised their children. From 1956 – 1979 he was employed with McMillan Bloedel in Powell River, BC. 11 years as a Sawer and 12 years as a Saw Filler. For the next 21 years he was a Farmer. He leaves behind a wife Leslie, a son Kevin (wife Joy); twin daughters, Kerry & Kelly (husband Mario); and grandchildren, Angela, Gordon (wife Bridgette), Cory, Scott & Sara. As well as two sisters, Lorraine & Fay (husband Morris). He also leaves behind great grandchildren, Alicia, Courtney, Rainy & Landon. The family would like to thank all the condolences they have received. No service will be held at this time because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Family and friends will be notified when a date has been set.
