Obituary of Garry Joseph Henry Bezte

Garry Bezte, loving and much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather peacefully left for heaven while at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the age of 88 years. Many thanks to the staff at St. Boniface and Concordia hospitals and to the amazing end of life medical team who made his journey such a beautiful experience for our family. Garry will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 64 years Landa Bezte; children Tammy (Mark) Bredin, Dale (Susanne) Bezte, Tara (Calvin) Hawley, Daryl (Cheryl) Bezte, Daniel (Candi) Bezte and Darren (Leslie) Bezte; grandchildren Kira, Dana (Helen), Serena (Ivan), Claire and Andrew Bredin; Katie Bezte; Derek, Alex and Neilla Hawley; Austin and Blake Bezte; Ben and Hayden Bezte; Amber, Tristin and Ethan Bezte; and great-grandchild Scarlett Bredin. Garry had a quiet, loving demeanour and was always a steadying influence. Dad was a “keep calm” and move forward logically kind of person. He looked after his family throughout all the generations and taught us honesty, perseverance, and a work ethic to do your best. He loved sports, especially hockey and curling. He loved travelling and spending time at his cottage. There will be no public memorial service for Garry - he will live on in our hearts. His guiding hand will be missed
