Lynn shared a big part in our hearts and our lives. First, she was a classmate at the School of Nursing at the U of M. then, she was a colleague for many years at the St. Boniface Hospital. We became friends sharing many fun times at baseball, parties and camping trips. Eventually we moved and became her " next door" neighbor in the Flats. We love you Lynn and you will always be with us when canoe to Lynn's Island on Kilvert lake.

I met Lynn years ago when she was a nurses aid , we got to talking and found out she liked basket ball so she joined my team for several years, then she got her nursing and we worked together once in awhile as I was a casual, so I have known my best friend 38 years , she would give the shirt off her back and help you with anything you needed help with. She was an amazing Gardner, wood work, camper, bikes and so much more, then she found the love of her life. I will miss you so much my friend , a piece of my heart is missing love you

To Liz, and the rest of Lynn's family I'm so sad to hear of Lynn's passing.
My dear friend finished her final long and hard portage. But now Lynn can slip her canoe into glass still waters, and paddle to her heart's content. I'll miss her deeply.

I was a nursing school mate of Lynn’s. I was very sorry to hear of her death. We did some clinical rotations together, and she could be quite the riot as we all learned how to become nurses. We crossed paths many times at St. B hospital after grad. She always had that sparkle in her eye and that gregarious nature. I know she will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. Rest easy, Lynn.

I like many others met Lynn as a volunteer at The WRENCH. Her sense of humour, brilliant smile and positive outlook no matter how crazy the shop got will be greatly missed.

I met Lynn through the wrench where she volunteered to help teach young folks how to fix their own bikes. Her sense of humour fit right in with the grease covered, foul mouthed, hard working and kind hearted volunteers and staff. She later introduced me to Bronx Park Woodshop where she helped me gain confidence in using power tools. As a teacher she was patient and through, always keeping me laughing along the way. Nothing would phase her- at least she'd never show it- she kept even the most intense situations at the shop relatively cool.
The loss of her presence will be greatly missed at the Wrench.

Lynn and I met in a Australia at the end of first fleet re- enactment trip in 1988 . Both avid fleeters, we were friends at first sight and remained close for many years. Lynn was larger than life, full of energy, up for an adventure , hilariously childish , a shoulder to cry on and above all , allowed me to be me. She was my friend and I loved her very much xx

I am so sorry to hear of Lynn’s passing. I worked with her at St B and very much appreciated her passion and commitment to nursing. Nursing is rewarding but also challenging. Her sense of humour helped us get through some difficult times. My condolences.

My dearest condolences to Liz and her family.
I met Lynn on a back-country canoe trip. She was an excellent teacher of the outdoors. At one camp site, she flipped her canoe over and started washing the bottom of it. She then used that surface to kneed the dough to make buns which she then cooked in a her newly constructed rock oven. Green spaces everywhere have lost a champion.

Back in the day I worked with Lynn at SBGH in IMCN. At the time she was working as an NA . She had a great sense of humour and a strong work ethic. Thoroughly enjoyed having spent time with her. As the years went by it was my pleasure to run into Lynn again but this time in her role as an RN in ICM. She was very caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. I was the patient she helped with my recovery from first MI. She made an impression on those around her and will very missed. My sympathies to her wife and family at a very hard time.

I only worked with Lynn a few years but in that time I collected stories too numerous to mention!! One day a patient requested we bring him a pina colada. Lynn chuckled at this but shortly returned with a glass of pineapple juice complete with a paper umbrella she had managed to make from a piece of scrap paper!!

Liz and family....I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Lynn for many years. She was a very special person. She was kind, compassionate, had a very common sense approach to problem solving and that amazing sense of humour. She had an ability to lighten and solve any difficult situation. I am sure she is in a very special place in heaven but will be very much missed here on earth. .....Sheila

Lynn is one of the best CRN’s I have ever worked with. She cared that patient and staff were doing ok, would always help as able, and of course wanted to create a working environment that was life-giving and supportive. She was always doing something to lighten the mood at work. I want to offer my condolences to her family, Liz and colleagues at MSICU.

A good friend always lets you know you have chin hairs... and Lynn was an excellent friend. She loved to be silly and we loved to be silly with her.
