Obituary of Helen Ruth Lorusso

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Helen Lorusso on June 24, 2020 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 78 years. Left to cherish Helen’s memory is her son Henry; daughter Jessica (Tom Broadbent); grandchildren Massimo Petrelli, Michael Lorusso and Sofia Lorusso; and brother Alwyn Derkatch (Pat). Helen was predeceased in life by her brother Ronnie Derkatch. Helen was born in Russell, Manitoba to Tom and Jessie Derkatch. She worked for many years in the forestry industry as a laboratory technician. A true animal lover, Helen devoted much of her retirement to rescuing and rehoming cats. In accordance with (loved one)'s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
