Dear Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear about Janette's passing.
I first met Janette in 1976, when our Red River/University years began, and remember carpooling to Red River with her, very early so she could drop Sean off at the daycare there. Those 4 years were special times as Janette, Joyce & I bonded over over the challenges of studies (and lots of fun and laughs too).
In later years, we would meet up to catch a movie at Kildonan Place or for a talk and coffee at Perkins. I too will miss our Boston Pizza get-togethers in our corner booth (which Janette always reserved), where our trio had many wonderful evenings. I always had a deep admiration for the way Janette handled the challenges of being a single mother, going to university and raising her son. Janette talked often about Sean and later on, of her granddaughter Drew. Janette's pride and love for both of you was strong.
She will always have a special place in my heart and I will miss her.
My sincere condolences to you all.
