Will always keep our memories close!
We lived a lifetime in a short cpl years, that lingered for 40+years, until you passed.
You always asked the same 2 questions, every cpl years, and I always had the same 2 answers.
You were hard for some to understand, but i knew you so well! Hope you are resting easy!

He was never the greatest brother, but I still miss him!
BTW who is this "Shane Kiyawasew" who's supposed to be his "brother" ?? Unless my mother had another child that I don't know about? Who wrote this eulogy?

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Skips.
I met Skip thru a mutual friend many many years ago at the Convention Centre Bike Show. We remained friends
for many years running into each other and catching up. I am very saddened to hear that he has passed. To young,
to soon. RIP Skip

Skip will be cremated On Tuesday, Nov.17th. I will be posting more details. Because of Covid, there will not be a service at this time. We are hoping to do something next year maybe in Sept on his Bday. As far as we know he died in his sleep. Actual true death we will not know till after toxicology reports. This takes 6 to 8 months or more cause of Covid. Most of his remains will be going to Sturgis and some with his loved ones. Because Skip loved to wander we thought that would be best.
Skips' love of wandering started at an early age. I think he was in grade 5 he hopped the trains and they later found him in Kenora. I remember crying "Saying I lost my brother he won't be able to find us cause we moved while he was gone".. He also wandered with the Exhibition when he was in his early teens and travelled through Canada and the States. He did come and tell my Mom he was going and she knew that he would go anyways without her permission so she let him go. Different times and different ages.
I knew Skip differently than most of you cause I knew him when we were young.A different Skip. He was called Craig then and changed it to Wayne and in his late teens, it went to Skip.
. Skip taught me a lot of things. He taught me how to play "Knock out ginger", but didn't explain completely tell me how it went. I stood at the person's front door and rang the doorbell and stood there. I almost got caught but I heard my brother Lenny yell "Run". So I did. Skip was laughing.
We went to Eaton's and in front of the store, they had costume jewellery. He got me to try on these big ass fake birthstone diamond looking ring. I tried one on and he yanked my arm and dragged me out of the store and ran with me. When we stopped he said now if you tell on me I will tell mom you stole a ring. He taught me to garden raid and how to start fires in garbage cans.
We did have a lot of fun though as kids. He taught me how to play Kick the can and showed me all the good hiding places. We went to lots and lots of movies together. He was supposed to take me to see Snow White one time and took me to see "Ghengis Kahn" instead. As it turned out, that is my favourite movie.
We sang Beatles songs together and many more.. And we went to our first concert together," The Monkeys".He played drums young he was in cadets. and always practise the drumroll on the kitchen table. All the time and drove us crazy with it.
I had 2 big brothers but Lenny wasn't always at home. So Skip was my other big brother and he looked after me when I was young.. Threatened boys if they tried to hit on me with me cause I was much younger than them but I looked older. He was my big brother ..I will miss him greatly.Love you bro.

To my old buddy, Skip. You were like a big brother to me. We were roommates when we were younger, and then later very good friends. You were like an uncle to my daughter, and treated us always with respect and kindness. Miss you, buddy.
