Sudarshan or Sid, as he was fondly known to all, will be remembered and greatly missed by many relatives and friends all over the world. He was born in Kenya and grew up in East Africa where he earned a scholarship to the Royal Institute of British Architecture in London. After his return to Africa from London with his new bride, he started a family and built a private architecture practice in Kampala, Uganda only to lose it all in the civil war of Idi Amin. He landed in Canada in 1972 as a refugee having to rebuild his entire life, meeting and marrying his loving wife Posy with whom he spent 42 years in Winnipeg. Sudarshan worked as an architect for decades, retiring as a project manager for the Government of Manitoba public works department. He was a gentle man, simple, quiet and thoughtful. He was an avid golfer, a reader and a lover of music and he adored his family and friends. A follower of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, he dedicated all his life to their teachings. Sudarshan absolutely loved Assiniboine park, especially enjoying the English gardens. He marveled at all the beautiful flowers and cherished his summertime daily walks in the park with Posy. Sudarshan was a wonderful human being, honourable and truthful. He lived his life with dignity and integrity. Always a kind word for all, very positive and loving in his ways, he was ever the gentleman, smiling and hospitable towards everyone throughout all his life. He was a gift to his family and friends, teaching us many lessons. We are grateful and blessed to have had him touch our lives. And he will bring munificent waves of love from the golden orange sun to infuse earth with higher consciousness........
