First of all my condolences to all of her family.
I met Rachelle through work 32 years ago. Besides being work colleagues we also became best friends. We were both single at the time and we would go to the show on a regular basis and out for meals. Her and I were massive movie lovers and would go to different kind of films. We would then talk about the movie analyzing and dissecting it to pieces.
We would take turns in choosing the film we were going to see and one time she suggested Howard’s End which I was ready to walk out of after 30 minutes. Rachelle wanted to stay to watch it to the end. It was like watching paint dry. So so slow. Over the years I always teased her about that film as I didn’t let her forget that choice. It certainly was not one of her favorite movies nor mine as you can tell.
We went on road trips over the years and we always would never run out of conversation talking about work, movies, the Oscars, world events, religion, and of course politics. Most importantly we tried to be there for each other as we hit life’s little speed bumps. Rachelle was a gifted listener and one of the things that I most appreciated was after listening she would ask another question to jog my thinking and to see the problem from a totally different angle. She had such a gift for that. Rachelle was the most selfless individuals that I know. No matter what she was going through she was always interested in others. Rachelle could certainly be stubborn and at times obstinate but other times would be so open to feedback and be appreciative of the feedback given. I don’t know too many people who are like that. Rachelle loved her prairies and the sun especially. Most of all Rachelle had a wonderful sense of humour and her delivery would make her laugh and the others around her also. She was hilarious!!!
I miss her so much and I do talk to her when the sun is shining brightly upon me as it reminds me of her. I love you my dear dear friend and I hope you are content now that your on the other side. Over your lifetime you have helped so many people with your advice or non advice. I miss you tremendously and the one thing that comforts me is that you are at peace. We will see each other again but just so you know we are not going to sit and watch Howard’s End again
See you later

My deepest sympathy for the family and friends Rachelle leaves behind. Rachelle had a way with words. She inspired or humbled but always with warmth. Rachelle was genuine, forthright, curious, well read. Always available to listen or offer a shoulder to lean on. Rachelle had the gift of inspiring trust and the wisdom to hold it dear. Her laugh was infectious and never failed to brighten the day of those around her. My life was blessed through our friendship. May you find blessings in the next life dear friend.

My sincere condolences to Rachelle’s Family. I am very sad to acknowledge such a loss. Rachelle and I have been friends for over fifty years and co workers for many. She was a true friend, a sounding board, a confidante, a teacher, always attentive to another person’s needs rather than her own. She valued privacy for herself and others yet was selfless, all the while prepared to help in anyone in any way she could. I will miss the pinch on the cheek she would give - meaning things were ok - and the occasional uncontrollable bursts of laughter. Most of all I will miss her compassion, her opinions and her faithfulness to her family and friends. May she find peace and happiness in her new universe.

So very sorry for the loss of Aunty Rachelle. She was a very special person who always greeted me with a smile and hug. She always remembered the things we would talk about and ask about them whenever we next met, even if it was years later. She will be missed.
