Obituary of Dianne Stark
We are saddened to announce that on November 14, 2021, Dianne Stark, aged 75 years, passed away surrounded by her family at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg.
Dianne was raised in a large family. She is survived by her beloved husband Ron Sr.; children Ron Jr. (Christine); Dione (Ryan) and Jeff; grandchildren Ethan, Eliana, Munroe, Aubrie and Brooke; her brothers, sister and their families.
The simplest way to describe Dianne to anyone that didn’t know her is that she was welcoming. She welcomed all people into her family, and as Ron Sr. would test throughout their marriage, welcoming all creatures great and small that he would return home with. Ron and Dianne lovingly teased and bickered with one another and certainly kept one other on each other’s toes. Besides rescuing the animals, Ron Sr. would bring home, Dianne also rescued people in a way. She had a very loose definition of “family”. It would be very common to have a Christmas dinner full of family, friends and anyone who needed a place to be, to Dianne they were all family.
Dianne was a member of the St. Luke’s Zion Lutheran Church for many years, where she sang in the choir and helped with the youth group.
Dianne lovingly cared for and helped Ron with his health challenges.
Mom, stealer of ginger snaps and other baked goods, your “woo-hooing” at church, sporting events, concerts and well pretty much at any occasion where you showed your support, your ardent energy will be missed by all. Your infectious laugh and kind heart made people gravitate towards you. When they did, you were always very present in your conversations. You will always be remembered.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests that you instead do an act of kindness in her memory.
