Obituary of Gloria Ann Mickoski
With all our love and hugs, we say goodbye to our loving Mom and Grandma Gloria Ann Mickoski.
Our Mom and Grandma will be terribly missed by her daughters Carol (Wes) and Debbie (Allan); grandsons Ryan (Kennedy), Reid (Breann) and Jared (Kirsten); as well as her sisters, brother and their families and also her sister-in-law Linda.
Gloria was the most beautiful and loving lady.
Born in St. Claude on September 29, 1945, Gloria loved her life and met every challenge that came her way with faith, perseverance and utmost optimism.
Her daughters and grandsons were everything to her. She held them dearly surrounding herself with pictures, cards and mementos of their lives. A perfect day for her would consist of just being in the company of her girls and grandboys.
Gloria was a hairdresser in her early years, and also ran a home daycare welcoming many children into her home over the years.
Our mom’s health challenged her many times during her life but she never let it get her down facing each obstacle and overcoming them with determination.
In accordance with our mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. A gathering of family will take place at a later date.
Special thanks to Dr. Donald Miller who cared for our mom and family over the years and thanks to Riverview for making her last days as comfortable as possible and a special thank you especially to nurse Janet.
Gloria (Glory)
Bold in her approach to life, she has a lot of spunk; someone who can make things out of odds and ends, she is as romantic as moonlight, a symbol of tranquility, children enjoy the mischief in her eyes, someone who is strong in her conviction, her goal is to do everything well.
Mom/Grandma you did everything more than well. We will carry you in our hearts every day.
We love you.
