Wade Marsch

Obituary of Wade Alan Marsch

Peacefully with family by his side Wade passed away at the age of 60 years after a short valiant battle with cancer. Wade is survived by sister Connie (Ken), brothers Ross (Wendy), Chris (Cathy), and Glen; nephews Scott and Bryan. Wade was predeceased by his parents Ruth and Harold Marsch. The youngest of five, Wade’s first years were spent in Fort Garry moving to Charleswood in 1968 where he completed his education. Throughout his younger years Wade created many happy memories visiting at Aunty Elsie’s farm. Wade had many varied jobs until he found his niche as a sub contractor in the flooring business. Wade also had a passion for carpentry enjoying the construction of many projects. After dad passed and mom’s health failed Wade stepped up to become her best care giver allowing her to stay in her home, for which the family will be forever grateful. Sadly in August 2022 Wade was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer. He never complained and took each day as it came. There are so many we would like to thank and acknowledge for Wade’s care during his final journey. His brother Chris took Wade into his home and with the help of Cathy gave him exemplary care. Dr Allison Stasiuk his family physician whose compassion and care knew no bounds. The teams of Dr Jeremy Lipschitz, CancerCare,Palliative Care as well as Home Care. A special thank you to the Never Alone Cancer Foundation for all the extras and treats which Wade looked forward to. Also to the Manitoba MAID Program who helped with their compassion and understanding. Thank you to Alterna Cremation for their guidance and care. And most importantly we want to thank Cathy, “Wade’s angel” who helped guide us every step of the way as she cared for Wade so lovingly. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Never Alone Cancer Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family
