Obituary of Elaine Frances Smith

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Elaine Smith (Lagacé).

Forever remembered by her husband of 50 years Dave; son Mark (Haley); her pride and joy grandsons Jackson, Zachary and Hunter; siblings Cathy (Cal) Reese, Paulette Pearson, Gus (Candy) Lagacé, as well as numerous brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Victor and Theresa, sister Joanne Jarvis.

Elaine was born and raised in Saskatchewan. Her married life to an RCMP officer allowed her to call many provinces home. With a final posting to Manitoba, it became her long time home where she raised her son and fell in love with her grandchildren.

She worked in numerous areas and found her expertise in workers compensation and labour issues. Owning a successful business, she was highly respected for her skill and work ethic. When not working or volunteering in politics Elaine had a passion for interior design, gardening and the arts.

In keeping with Elaine’s wishes a private burial will take place at the RCMP Cemetery at Depot Division, Regina, Saskatchewan.

We would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Charleswood and Maples Personal care homes for their compassionate care.
