Obituary of Anna Hare

On July 29, 2023, the world bid farewell to a beloved soul, Anna Hare, who peacefully passed away at the age of 91. Born on March 20, 1932, in Smoky Lake, Alberta, Anna's life journey was one of dedication, love, and adventure.

Anna's life was enriched by the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Hare, to whom she was devoted as a loving wife. Together, they built a life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Bonnie Krzeminski and Tracy Theriault (Dennis).

Anna took a remarkable journey of service to her country when she joined the Air Force at just 18 years old, a path that would take her to England for two years. During her time at the Air Force she was a Corporal in the Military Police and later in the field of computers.

After her time abroad, she returned to RCAF Station in Namao, Alberta, and met her future husband, Bob, who was also in the Air Force. They were soon married. With the joy of starting a family, Anna left the Air Force in 1957 to focus on raising their children and nurturing their home.

Despite her retirement from the Air Force, Anna's passion for technology persisted. She returned to the workforce, this time contributing her talents to the government's computer sector. Anna had an incredible financial aptitude and was eager to share her knowledge with her children, instilling in them the value of financial responsibility.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Anna embraced various hobbies that brought her immense joy. She found solace in the art of hand quilting and took pride in tending to her garden. She enjoyed hiking and had a fondness for engaging in games of Bingo and trying her luck at casinos. Anna had an eye for beauty, and her collection of English bone China and Wildlife Sculpture crystals was a testament to her refined taste.

With an adventurous spirit, Anna and Bob took to the road and explored the world in their camper, starting with a tent trailer in 1970. Over the years, they continued to upgrade their camper, and their travels took them to various destinations in the southern United States, including Yuma, Arizona, Rio Grande, Texas, and Zephyrhills, Florida, as well as from coast to coast across Canada.

Anna's loving spirit and cherished memories will forever live on through her family, including her daughters, Bonnie Krzeminski, and Tracy Theriault (Dennis). She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Dana Whitehill (Dan), Amanda McDermid (Ryan), and Melissa Graham (Sean Pihulak). The joy and love multiplied with her great-grandchildren: Tyler Humes (Mikaela Siwicki), Taryn and Trysta Whitehill, and Ryder Pihulak. As the family continued to grow, Anna welcomed her great-great-grandchildren, Abbadon and Calcifer Humes, with open arms.

Anna was known for her quiet demeanor and the seriousness with which she approached life. She held strong opinions and was always eager to share her wisdom with those she cared about. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren, whom she adored and inspired with her love and wisdom.

As we mourn Anna's departure, we also celebrate the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her love, guidance, and cherished moments will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Rest in peace, dear Anna. May your spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those you touched during your remarkable journey through life.

The family thanks the staff of Beacon Hill Personal Care Home and River East Personal Care Home for Anna's care.
