Born on September 23, 1963, in Winnipeg to Lloyd and Moreen Pottinger, Tracy's journey was one of love, resilience, and selflessness. Her union with Rick in 1985 marked the beginning of a partnership founded on trust, respect, and an unwavering commitment to each other.
A beacon of compassion, Tracy was a mother to all, her heart radiating kindness and forgiveness. Holding no grudges, her capacity to empathize was matched only by her heart of gold. Her love of collecting jewelry, particularly pieces adorned with sparkle and bling, mirrored her vibrant personality. Tracy's fashion sense was impeccable, reflected in her stylish shoes, purses, and hats that she wore with a flair uniquely her own.
Tracy's heart found solace at the cabin at Lester Beach, a haven where cherished memories were etched in the sands of time. As the seasons changed, so did her tranquil retreats, which later found new roots at various spots in Winnipeg Beach. Her laughter and dance reverberated through these spaces, a joyful melody that colored the lives of her loved ones.
"Sonia's Stand" in Lockport was more than a place to dine for Tracy; it was a realm of flavors and shared moments. The journey to the beach was never complete without a stop at this cherished spot, a tradition she held dear.
The beach was Tracy's canvas of joy. Amidst the waves, she painted memories with her grandchildren, embarking on bike rides and savoring ice cream. Tracy's spirit danced in the kitchen, crafting meals infused with love, while the sun's golden hues mirrored the warmth in her heart.
A paragon of dedication, Tracy's commitment was a cornerstone of her professional life. Her journey began in Driver's Licensing and led her to the Department of Justice, where her diligence earned her respect and admiration. Even in retirement, her spirit of hard work remained undiminished, exemplified in her role at Sweet Annies, Great Finds, and IGA. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of her cherished coworkers.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Tracy Chmelnytzki will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Bethel Community Church, located at 430 Lakewood Boulevard, Winnipeg, Manitoba, will serve as a canvas for memories shared and stories remembered. Cheerful and “blingy” attire will be most appreciated.
Tracy's chapter in this world may have closed, but the love she sowed continues to flourish, a testament to a life beautifully lived and eternally cherished..
In lieu of flowers, please spend time with your family, take them to the beach, and splash in the water.
