I was so saddened to recently learn of Dr. Lockery’s passing, and want to share my deepest condolences with Val and their children and grandchildren. I was so incredibly blessed to have had the great fortune to cross paths with Dr. Lockery many years ago at Fort Richmond Collegiate, where I taught high school science. For years to come, Dr. Lockery was a regular ‘main event’ in my classes as a guest speaker at FRC and later at Shaftesbury high school, most often speaking on the role of the greenhouse gases, the ocean currents and astronomical contributions to the global climate. He was always a beloved hit, and passionate educator to 1000s of my students! Dr. L. became a dear friend and mentor of mine as the years passed, sharing many long conversations about various topics and disciplines of science, and had a lasting impact on my life. I will miss you dearly Dr. L. ❤️ Kathleen
