Colin I know you will be missed by all who knew you. You were clearly a loving and supportive dad to your girls. I was privileged to teach and coach Deidre and Lauren at VW. I always said you see the children you see their parents. They are some of the best students and people I know. You leave a lasting positive legacy, and I know those girls will always make you proud.

You've vanished into the mystic blue,
Leaving us here, without a clue.
Our parting words, soft and kind,
Eased the heart, eased the mind.
A mentor and a friend so dear,
Through every laugh, through every tear.
Twenty orbits, seasons turned,
In every triumph, in lessons learned.
We missed our shots on the court to play,
A raincheck for a sunny day.
I trust now you're in paradise found,
Where the greens and the fairways abound.
May you be sipping the red wine you adored,
In the grand vineyard of the Lord.
Each glass, a toast to the days we knew,
Each sip, a memory to hold and view.
Your daughters now carry your torch, so bright,
In them, your essence, your love's pure light.
Their path ahead, with your wisdom paved,
A father's treasure, deeply saved.
Here's to you, where spirits fly free,
May you be where you longed to be.
In our hearts, your story's wine,
Forever aged, forever fine.
Thanks Boss for always being there. Truly one of the best!

Our hearts are broken. Colin was a true friend, and he will be dearly missed. Colin showed himself to be a great listener and confidant, and I came to know that he could always offer sound business advice for any situation. He also had a wonderful sense of humour and love for life.
Some of my favourite memories with Colin involve our time spent at Elmy, his humorous texts, and our trip to Fargo to watch college hockey last spring. Colin always demonstrated professionalism, yet he had a mischievous way of provoking his friends by dropping an idea, comment, or complaint to our group. Colin would take immense gratification in the ensuing reactions, for the amusement of us all. The Elmhurst dining area saw many Rogers conference calls and Treasurer business as Colin prepared to end his day and jump onto the course. Despite his competitive nature, Colin was always humble in his wins, and in the event of defeat, he was always gracious and found a way to put a spin on it for “next time”. Frequently we went upstairs for a meal and to dissect our golf round and Colin would order the open face steak sandwich, curly fries and red wine. People would order it by simply saying…I’ll have the Colin Bartlett. His presence at Elmhurst Golf Course will be deeply missed by myself, our golf group, and so many others.
Colin would also go to great lengths to stay in touch with us outside of golf season by asking us to attend a Jets or Bombers Game with him, or to meet at Golfzon for a few rounds of simulator golf. Having such busy schedules, we all joked that Colin and Nadine ate supper 5 hours later than most of us, as often he would send photos of Nadine and him having happy hour at the Keg just before a dinner out, and it was usually 10PM. Colin was very proud of his family, and often beamed about his daughters’ success in athletics, academics, and more recently business.
Colin showed much strength and determination throughout the last several months, with his main concern being for Nadine and his girls. He never complained to us about the hand he was dealt, he just made sure we enjoyed our time with him. There isn’t a large enough accolade I could deliver to memorialize such a true gentleman, family man and cherished friend. Colin’s pain is now gone, we will treasure our memories of him, and he will forever be with us in spirit.
Love Don and Kim Ingram

Our deepest condolences to Nadine, Deidre, and Lauren for the loss of Colin. His passing has undoubtedly left a void in your lives and in the hearts of all who knew him.
Colin’s departure has left a void, but has also left many fond memories, his love for golf and the friendship that came with it stands out. Colin had a unique way of making those rounds at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club truly special. His sense of humor and the belief that it was never too early for a Michelob Ultra beer in the morning while golfing, created unforgettable moments of laughter and camaraderie.
Let us hold on to the memories of those sunny weekend mornings on the golf course. I was fortunate to be present the morning Colin achieved his hole in one. His excitement at that moment will forever be etched in my mind. Though he may no longer be physically present, his spirit lives on in such a treasured recollection.
Once again, to Nadine, Deidre, and Lauren, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. May you find comfort in the memories and the love you shared with Colin.

Colin, you were loved by so many and will always be missed.
For Nadine and his BBGs with hugs and love…
I Will Be With You
Written by Laurie Fischer
Tomorrow
When you awaken
I will be gone
But will always
Be near you.
You will not
Be able to see me
With your eyes.
To feel me
With your touch.
To hear me
With your ears.
To speak to me
With your words.
But you will see me
In your memories.
You will feel me
In your emotions.
You will hear me
In your mind.
You will speak to me
In your dreams.
As you complete
Your journey through life
I will walk beside you,
Guiding you along the way,
Watching over you each day.
Tomorrow,
I will be gone
But I will always
Stay near you.
You will see me
In each sunrise and sunset.
You will feel me
In the gentle morning breeze.
You will hear me
In the tune of a songbird.
You will speak to me
In your prayers.
For wherever you go,
Wherever you are.
I will see you.
I will feel you.
I will hear you.
I will speak to you.
All you will have to do is
Look for me,
Reach out to me,
Listen for me,
Speak to me.
For I will always be
Near you, beside you, with you.
