I worked with Al for many years and he was just a guy that people enjoyed being around. He was serious about doing a good job and balanced doing right by the company and the customer while insisting on keeping things fun. He was kind at heart and terrific storyteller- a great guy. He loved his “Warden” , Margaret. He will be greatly missed.

Margaret,
So sorry to hear about Al , he was my mentor in the car business.Hiring me at McNaught way back in 1995.
I am shocked to hear of his passing. We had a lot of good times in ( the shack ) on the old used car lot.
I learned a lot from him and made a great career selling cars.
He will be missed by many!

I wish I had more photos - we didn’t do that enough back then… but my memories of Al are of a sweet little guy who enjoyed farm life. The neighbour’s boy Lorne and him became good friends back then.
I will miss our phone visits and when they came through Saskatoon we would share a meal. He was very special to me.

I worked with Al for many years. He had a great sense of humour and a quick witty retort to almost everything . He was a pleasure to deal with and clients and staff all got along great with him. Sympathy to Margaret and family

My cousin Al was one of the funniest guys in the family. And in our family he had some competition.
He was fearless in his humour. Zany and outlandish. If you spent any time at all with him you were going to laugh.
I'm smiling now , thinking of some Al stories, even as I morn.

Margaret, my deepest condolences to you and the family! Allan was a fantastic guy and great friend and an amazing mentor. I met him at BP on Taylor Avenue. I moved to Toronto and every year I came back to Winnipeg, I always met him. He always gave me the best advice and always made time to talk to me and give me alot life lessons that I use everyday. I will miss him so much. Lots of hugs.

We have such heavy hearts. We have known Alan for many, many years and have fond memories of him.
We are grateful that we got the opportunity to have Alan in our lives.
Alan always listened to what was going on in our lives and had a story or words of wisdom to share. I can still picture him expressing is opinion with his arms waving around.
Alan enjoyed fast cars, speed boats, nature, camping days, golf cart rides, and of course his outings with Margaret.
There were many memorable stories told around that campfire and lots of memories of his youth in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
It is very hard to say Goodbye so we will just say until we meet again my Friend.
