To the Family of Clemente:
I am so sorry to read about the passing of this wonderful man. Let me tell you who we are.
My husband, Cyril and I were teachers in Pauingassi First Nations, MB in 2004-05.
The house we stayed in had extra bedrooms; so any time Clemente came to Pauingassi that year, he stayed with us. What a fine gentleman he was!
Once when we were leaving to go back East, he picked us up from St. Andrew’s small airport, brought us to his home where we had dinner and stayed the night. The next morning, before the birds were up, he took us to the Airport for our flight back home. We were living in Nova Scotia at the time; but we have now moved back home to Newfoundland.
I have never forgotten his kindness.
Several days ago, I was clearing thing away and came across his business card. So I e-mailed him, hoping to get a reply. Now I understand why I didn’t. I am so very sorry.
May he rest in Peace.
