Obituary of John Henry Ferguson

Peacefully on December 27^th, John passed away at age 90, just a couple weeks away from his 91st birthday.

John’s family was able to spend his last day visiting and enjoying being with him.

John had resided with his son Dale until May when he felt he couldn’t live at home any longer.  John moved into Fred Douglas Lodge in July.  We would like to thank the staff at Fred Douglas for the excellent care of John until his passing. 

John was predeceased by an infant son Gordon and in 2019 by his daughter Donna.

John is survived by his daughter Christine (Bill); son Don (Heather) and son Dale (Cheryl); son-in-law Jim; his grandchildren Amber (Jon), Matt, Liz (Andrew), Justin (Genna), Kyle, Kris, Amanda (Trevor) and Sabrina (Preston); and 12 great grandchildren Daniel, Josh, Andrew, Claire, Tyler, Raylea, Chloe, Nolen, Avery, Torin, Liam and Amelia. 

John worked for many years at Simpson Transfer.  After retiring, he took care of Justin and Kyle and spent many hours out in the garage with Dale and Bill until he was no longer able to see his way outside. 

A celebration for John is being planned for a later date.
