Obituary of Tannis Gaye Nicol

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved sister Tannis Gaye Nicol, age 59, at her residence on December 26, 2023.

Left to cherish Tannis’ memory are her bothers Gregory (wife Gloria), Glenn (wife Mildred) and Randy (wife Evelyn) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Tannis was predeceased by her parents Keith Nicol in 2008 and Shirley Nicol in 2020.

Tannis was born on November 22, 1964 in Winnipeg and spent her whole life in Elmwood.

She was employed at Canada Life (previously Great West Life) for almost 35 years and will be greatly missed by her friends and colleagues there.

Tannis will be fondly remembered for her love of animals. Many dogs and cats benefited from her love over the years.

The family would like to thank the Winnipeg Fire and Police Departments for their professionalism during this difficult time.

In accordance with Tannis’ wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

For those who wish, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Tannis’ memory.
