I knew David in my youth (1960s and 70s), and was able to re-connect with him in later years ( in the "20 - teens"), thanks to Linda and Don. My mother married David and Linda's uncle Tom in 1952, so I was also aa "Reith" for the first few years of my life. It took Tom's passing in 2012 for me to meet Linda and Don, as well as Irene. Thanks to them, I was able to see David again, and he was the same sports -loving, friendly person I remembered.
David faced many challenges, but did so "head on". Linda, Don, and their children deserve a LOT of thanks for the way they cared for David, and made his life as comfortable as possible.
I know I am better for having known him, and also for getting to know Linda and Don.
Rest in Peace David.. and please use your influence in Heaven to help our Bombers and Jets win a few games.
