Obituary of Reto Infanger

It’s with sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of Reto Infanger, husband, son, brother, stepfather, uncle and friend, on July 15, 2024.

 

Reto was born June 13, 1972 in Engelberg, Switzerland and immigrated to Canada in 1998. He worked as dairy farmer, beef farmer, long-haul truck driver, project manager for Winnipeg Building and Furniture, and finally made his dream come true in 2015 by owning his own business, Reto’s Carpentry. One of his proudest achievements.

 

He became a Canadian citizen in 2005.

 

He met his wife Crystal in 2012 and they were married in 2016. Reto and Crystal had 12 loving years together full of love and happiness. He was also the proud stepfather of Hannah, Jordan and Taylor.

 

Reto was always there for those who knew him, he was a truly remarkable man that would move mountains to help those he loved and cared about.

 

Reto also had a passion for traveling as he had been to Alaska, Canary Islands, Italy, Las Vegas, Mexico, California, New York and wanted to add more to his list.

 

Reto was a very talented carpenter who enjoyed building and creating beautiful spaces.

 

Wood Working was his passion and he started making beautiful Charcuterie boards as a hobby.

 

He leaves to mourn his wife Crystal; mother Vreni; stepdaughters Hannah (Gerwin), Jordan (Zach) and Taylor (Chris); brother Ruedi (Esther); nieces and nephews Maurus, Maria, Weysi and Zoey; father-in-law and mother-in-law Bill and Renee; brother-in-law Jason and his wife Heather; and many other friends and family that loved him.

 

He is predeceased by his father Josef Albert Infanger.

 

Celebration of life will be August 22, 2024 at Assiniboine Downs, Banquet Room at 2:00 p.m. for close family and friends.
