Obituary of Margaret Joan Allison
Margaret Joan Allison (nee Page) passed into an eternity with her saviour Jesus Christ on September 10, 2024. Joan was born at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg on April 19, 1940 to William (Bill), and Margaret Page. In her early years she lived in Ontario and B.C. before settling in Manitoba. On March 28, 1959 she married Calvin in Roland, MB. They settled in Winnipeg and were married 53 years before Calvin’s passing in 2012. Joan was predeceased by her parents and brothers Robert and Roger.
Left always to love and remember her in their hearts are her children Brian, Nancy (Rick), Don (Allie), Randy (Marta) and grandchildren Tarynn, Cassidy, Shaughnessy, Daniel, Mary, Mark, Larissa (Charles) Haddassa as well as her siblings Dave (Anne), Betty-Anne and Larry (Suzie) Page.
Mom will always be remembered for her generosity and love for her kids and grandkids. Mom was always on the move and had countless friends. She always took part in social activities, helping with Showers, Teas, luncheons whether it was baking or decorating, at her church or Social Club She loved to travel. She went to Europe several times and regularly to B.C to see friends and relatives there. She was an avid Blue Bomber fan, having season tickets for many years and attending 14 Grey Cup games. She enjoyed playing golf earlier in life and was a passionate bowler and loved her morning swims.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 22,2024 at 3pm, Social Club Room 203-1660 Henderson Hwy.
