Obituary of William Leonard Peacock
Surrounded by his family peacefully at St Boniface Palliative Care and after a lengthy illness Bill lost his battle with cancer.
He leaves to remember him the love of his life Melissa, daughter Shanelle (Garrett), brother Bob (Angela) and his parents Robert and Frances, whose sacrifices enabled Bill and his brother to enjoy a stable upbringing while learning how to treat others with respect. He also leaves his mother and father in-law Pat and Alvin Myers, and Melissa’s sisters Robin (Oliver), Gina (Nelson) and Erin (Chris) and Nieces Brittnay, Courtney and Paige.
Mourning him as well is his constant companion his chihuahua Marley.
Bill enjoyed playing and coaching team sports and many friendships grew from those experiences. He excelled at his career in the hospitality industry where his legacy left a mark on those he worked with. More than anything Bill loved spending time with his friends and his family, whether on a golf course, road trip or in the living room.
Later in life Bill had the great opportunity to travel extensively with Melissa and Shanelle and enjoyed all of the time they spent together.
Thank you to the numerous nurses and staff at the Victoria Hospital Cancer care, Dr. Goldenberg at Cancer care and Dr. M Venditti with who Bill spoke highly of.
Special thanks to Palliative care team (Sophie) and the Doctors and nurses with special thanks to Yohanes his primary nurse whom came weekly and enjoyed talking about Bill’s passion New Castle football.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
