My condolences to Yvonne, Glenn, Tracy and the rest of the family and friends. Me and Blair always enjoyed spending time with Uncle Danny during our sleepovers as kids. Watching the Outer Limits or playing solitaire with him was always a fun time. But my most cherished memory is when he taught me and Blair how to play pool, a game that I have loved ever since. You will be missed Danny, I'm sorry we never went fishing or shot your firearms together.
- Love Colin and Blair.

Deepest sympathy Yvonne and Family on Danny's sudden passing.
We will always remember family get togethers at Christmas and other occasions. It was fun to chat and joke with Danny and he will truly be missed.
He was a gentle man who was knowledgeable on many subjects.
He sure did pour a stiff shot of rye when we came over to your place! Enjoyed it!
May he rest in peace.
Love, Phil, Josie, Justin and Jessica

Yvonne and family, Gayleen and I send our deepest condolences. Dan was an amazing man. I will miss his sense of humour and his ability to fix anything and everything at Mid West packaging. He always had a smile and I keep expecting to see him driving around the plant on his cart with his tools. Dan was always calm and no matter what needed fixing he never let it get the best of him! We will miss him. Take care and may your memories of Dan help heal your loss and your hearts! Sincerely Mike Manaigre and Gayleen Haw

Our sincere sympathies to the Romaniuk family in time of sorrow and in such an untimely departure. Dan to me was always a man of honesty & truthfulness & his hand shake was his word . I worked with Dan , I socialized in our early years with Dan & Yvonne & always a pleasure to be in their company. We were to meet after covid to reminisce the pass but now till we meet again .

We are so shocked and saddened by the loss of this wonderful man. Dan is the most talented, wisest, and kindest man I’ve ever known. I have so many memories from the 30 plus years we worked together, side-by-side, at Mid West Packaging. He always came in smiling and was a great mentor to me. He was a joy to work with and became a very good friend, in and out of work. Over the years, we shared many stories and chuckles. In fact, he was the only person I would have a scotch with! Dan was always happy to lend a hand and share his experience and wisdom. He’s one of a kind; a person who can never be replaced, and who always took the time to say hello, giving you his full attention. He cared.
His love for his family shone through every time he spoke of Yvonne, Tracy, Glenn and your families.
Pat and I send our deepest sympathies to you. We will miss him so much and will always remember him. Heaven has gained an amazing man.
Thank you for sharing his memory video. It is beautiful.
Rest In Peace, my friend.
Sincerely Rob St. Hilaire

Thanks for your kind words, Rob and Pat. I'd talk to and see my dad almost every day and my question quickly over the years evolved from "What are you working on?" to "What are you working on for Mid West?". Thanks again for making him a part of the team, he really enjoyed the time working with the company.

We used to go fishing to Grand Rapids MB and the best fishing happened at 6am, I loved it when everyone was too tired to go and we’d go just the two of us❤️❤️

Gigi teaching us how to shoot shotguns and shooting the clay pigeons but then we got the cops called on us for “hunting in the backyard” or all the memories of me and him being on the same team as him when playing cards and we’d kick everyone’s butts!

Our sincere condolences to Yvonne, Glenn and Tracy and your families!
Thinking of you all at this time. Dan was one of the first people we met when we moved to Lorette and settled in the trailer park. He was busy setting up the water and power and stuff when he came in the trailer very excited to tell me he would come back and finish but he had to go because they were going to have a baby! He was all smiles when he came back and said they had a beautiful baby girl. Life was good they had a son and a daughter! Family was the center of Dan’s life and Yvonne was the love of his life!

Yvonne, Glenn, Tracy and family. I send my condolences and my love. We will all miss him.
I remember back in the day when Dan would drive up at my Dad’s place to pick Yvonne up for a date. I can tell you he drove the fanciest car this 10 year old kid had ever seen. Seems like only yesterday.

When I was 20 the first big purchase I made for myself was a brand new snowmobile. My dad loved riding. Only knew one speed, and that was "full speed". I recall picking the sled up from Rene's Marine and bringing it home. Brand new 0K's. My dad asked the next day if he could take it out for a rip. Went out riding for the day with the Manaigre boys in Marchand. I take it he had a good time riding because, he came back with a bent ski, smashed windshield, and the hood completely sheered off. I guess hesitation spells disaster, so just do it!

My dad use to talk about going to St. Cuthbert school and how one day he and Gilles M. got attacked by "Old man K*****" while cleaning the skating rink on the river. He said they always had each others back. Also mentioned many times how he missed the "good old days" farming with Gilles, Ray, and Rob.

My dad use to tell stories that when he was a kid they didn't have school buses. He talked about having to walk uphill both ways and post-holing through waist-deep snow to and from St. Cuthbert school. Crazy winters back then.

My dad stamped all his tools with his initials so when uncle Don and I would borrow them we’d bring them back. To me if it has the stamp “DJR”, it’s been certified by the master!
