It’s hard to sum up in a few words the importance of one of your “moms”. It takes a village to raise a child and Anne was a very important and significant part of my village. One of the most powerful memories is when Anne sat a handful of ‘the regulars’ (who always seemed to be coming and going at her place ) down for a talk. We assumed we were in trouble about something, but in the most serious and loving message she told us that no matter what, if we needed help, she was there for us. If something went wrong, if we made a bad choice and we needed help, she was our safe place. A place we could trust, no questions, no judgement, just support and love. Knowing that she was willing to do that for us was the most powerful behavioural modifier. It made me feel important, special and loved, and I never wanted to let her down. Rest peacefully Anne. You are loved.
