Obituary of Victor Silvester Witroway

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Victor Witroway, on July 1, 2023, at age 71.

Victor was born in St. Thomas, ON, to parents Olga and Paul. He grew up in Lynn Lake and Flin Flon, and then moved to Winnipeg in the 1970’s where he started work with Reimer’s Express. In 1973, Victor met the love of his life, Gail, who he married in 1975. Victor and Gail had two daughters, who Victor often referred to as ‘my girls’. Victor enjoyed bowling, playing crib and tinkering around in his shop.

Victor leaves behind his wife Gail, daughters Julie (Derrick), Karen (Jason), grandchildren Cole and Haylee, sister Linda (Fred), Aunt Jenny and many cousins and nieces and nephews.

Victor was predeceased by his mother Olga as well as his sisters Pearl and Elsie.

A celebration of Victor’s life will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 11 am at the Atlantic Garden City United Church on 725 Atlantic Avenue with a small reception after with burial to follow at 2 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue in Winnipeg, MB.
