Uncle Abe was an icon for a real man, he knew how to get things done. Uncle Abe had a great work ethic, extremely reliable, a very kind heart, loving and generous.
He seemed to have a great balance in life, with work, family and get aways. He was a lucky man to always be surrounded by people who loved him, because anyone who knew him loved him.
Uncle Abe was a great role model, loyal and humble.
I know he's in a better place, free from pain and surrounded by true love.
He cared for and loved his family dearly.
He will be greatly missed, he had an awesome presence.
Until we meet again.
Love
Mark Groening

On Tuesday, the world lost the strongest man I have ever known. My father figure since my own passed away.
Thank you for all you've done. I can't believe you're gone. You still live in me. I feel you in the wind. You guide me constantly. I hope you're smiling down on me. You were as kind as you could be. And even though you're gone, you still mean the world to me.
He was a 'forty-five year straight get to work on time'. He loved one woman for all his life. He was a 'need to move something you can use my truck'. Everybody knew he wasn't just tough, he was strong. Rock solid inside out. Somebody you could trust. The road ran out, and they will keep on talking about how he was strong.
I love you, Grandpa. Forever and always. I was the most fortunate person to have you in my life. Rest easy in Paradise.
